Good red-ruby color. Deeply pitched, slightly medicinal aromas of black cherry and fruity bitter chocolate. Dense, lush and sweet, with a creaminess nicely leavened by firm acidity. The lowest in alcohol of the three 2005 Neyers zinfandels but the densest and deepest. This has terrific fruit. The slightly high-toned finish features supple tannins.

2005 Zinfandel High Valley, a high elevation (1,600 feet) site in the Chiles Valley. This effort exhibits the tell-tale elegance, high acids, and lower alcohol of the vintage along with abundant quantities of raspberry and black cherry fruit in its more complete, concentrated personality.
