'The 2005 is the finest wine produced at this estate since the 1998. A sleeper of the vintage, its dense ruby/purple color is followed by sweet aromas of graphite, earthy soil tones, cherries, cassis, and hints of smoke and herbs. This rich, ripe, medium to full-bodied effort possesses impressive concentration, admirable purity, and a long, persistent, moderately tannic finish. It should hit its prime in 4-5 years, and evolve for 15-20. Very impressive!'
