"Deep ruby in color, with an intense aroma of roasted pepper, eucalyptus and spice. Its entrance on the palate is sweet and smooth, due to the presence of round and ripe tannins. The wine is aged in new French oak barrels for 18 months, giving the wine an elegant and long finish." —winemaker
"Healthy full medium red. Deep, soil-driven aromas of red cherry, coffee, chicory, mocha, underbrush and green pepper. Supple, velvety and plush, showing a slight green note of V8 in a ripe way. Seamless and satisfying already owing to its nicely integrated acidity and savory quality. Distinctly in a European style, showing a restrained sweetness and a fine-grained texture. Finishes firmly tannic, with a touch of herbs. I like this. Drinking window: 2016-2021." —Stephen Tanzer, Vinous

"You might like it or not, but the nose of the 2011 Pulenta Gran Cabernet Franc XI really screams Cabernet Franc, a grape that seems to be gaining traction in Argentina. It has the bell-pepper, grassy and spicy aromas with perhaps a soapy touch that didn't drive me crazy. The palate shows the house style of polished tannins. It shows great integration of the oak, as the Pulentas seem to have mastered the aging in barrel, which is still a pending issue for many wineries in Argentina." —Luis Gutierrez, The Wine Advocate
