A ripe and classically styled red pinot fruit nose that is both elegant and pure leads to rich, full and sweet flavors that possess good underlying grip and fine finishing punch on the vibrant and admirably complex finish. There is solid if not exceptional detail and I like the sense of harmony here and this should age well over the next 3 to 6 years. Outstanding!Allen Meadows.

Scherrer’s 2004 Pinot Noir was classic Russian River Pinot Noir with notes of dark berry, forest floor, a hint of tomato skin, and a touch of cola. The wine is medium-bodied with excellent ripeness and a long, heady finish. Given the relatively evolved, forward nature of this Pinot.Robert Parker.-90 points.
