"100% Cabernet from this young vineyard which sits on a hillside bench overlooking the Columbia River. The nose is perfumed, rich black raspberry and plums, graphite notes, and cedary wood. On the palate the wine is deep, full- bodied and complex, with a fine core of fruit, ripe, chewy tannins, good acids and outstanding length and grip on the focused and youthful finish. This is an excellent representation of the high quality Cabernet Sauvignon coming out of Washington State." —winemaker

Wine Anthology review:
Owner/winemaker Chris Camarda has called the 2012 vintage "pure Washington," with exceptional fruit that made his job a joy. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the May's Discovery Vineyard in Horse Heaven Hills, this 2012 is about as classically styled a Cabernet as they come, showing off brilliant blackberry and blackcurrant flavors with complicating stone and floral tones that provide lift. If you've ever been in doubt that Washington state has what it takes to produce a Cab to rival those in Napa, do yourself a favor and try this wine! Only 239 cases made.
"Another wine that's possibly the best vintage to date, the 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon Mays Discovery is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that spent 18 months in 35% new oak. Inky colored, full-bodied, concentrated and layered, with impressive black raspberry, plum, licorice, wild herbs and spring flower-like aromas and flavors, it has enough texture and fruit to shine now, yet will be better with short-term cellaring, and have two decade of overall longevity." —Jeb Dunnuck, The Wine Advocate
