"Nice ruby red color, spices well supported by a nice and subtle 'boise' with well-structured tannins and minerality. Still very young, the wine exhibits excellent ageing potential, it will only get better with age." —winemaker

Wine Anthology review:
In the entire Willamette Valley, Résonance vineyard is one of the oldest planted, with vines dating back to 1981. This 2013 is an eclectic mixture of styles as it crosses between two worlds: the Old and the New. It possesses the quiet self-assurance of classic Burgundy, with a slight reluctance to reveal its gorgeous notes of ripe currant, blueberry, and orange peel. There's also an exuberant streak of New-World flair in the wine's assertive presence, with the intense, ever-present aromatics continuing all the way to a vivid finish.
"Light and focused, showing distinctive subtlety. A layer of crinkly tannins underlies a pulsing core of mineral-accented cherry and red berry flavors, hinting at cinnamon as the finish lingers gently. Best from 2017 through 2023. 2,000 cases made." —Harvey Steiman, Wine Spectator

"This is discreet to the point of being all but mute and only aggressive swirling liberates reluctant notes of various red and dark currant, spice and briar scents. There is good intensity to the sleek and intense medium-bodied flavors that possess excellent volume that continues on to the dusty, complex and moderately austere finale. This is clearly built to age and it will need at least 5 to 7 years to shed some of its tannic spine and reward up to 10. In sum, this is an impressive debut. Drink: 2021+." —Allen Meadows, Burghound
