"The site of a portion of the original John F. Abbott Donation Land Claim awarded on May 27, 1860. This 16-acre vineyard was planted in 2001 with Pinot Noir clones: Pommard, 777 and 115, on ancient Marine Sedimentary soils that were once ancient ocean bed. This wine is lush and plush, displaying rich fruit and deeply intense color with complex savory truffle notes. Flavors of red current, cherry cola, ripe raspberry, sweet pipe tobacco, rose petal make this a more collegiate compliment to our Angela Estate pinot noir. 1340 cases produced." —winemaker
"Here is a powerful young wine with concentrated plum and cherry fruit. It’s beautifully built around perfectly ripened tannins that provide solid support without being intrusive. Compact and well proportioned, it lingers with highlights of espresso grounds, dark chocolate and black tea." —Paul Gregutt, Wine Enthusiast Magazine

"Vivid ruby-red. Pungent smoke-laced cherry and blackberry scents are complicated by suggestions of cola, dried rose and allspice. Rich yet lively in the mouth, offering gently sweet, seamless dark berry and floral pastille flavors and a bracing jolt of peppery spices. Shows the power of the vintage to full effect but comes off as lively, finishing with wonderful closing energy and length and chewy, slowly building tannins. Drinking window: 2018 - 2024." —Josh Raynolds, Vinous

"This earthy style plays a woodsy, coffee and spice character against a core of black cherry, lingonberry and licorice flavors. The finish lingers against firm yet unobtrusive tannins. Best from 2017 through 2022. 1,300 cases made." —Harvey Steiman, Wine Spectator
