|"The Caparzo Brunello di Montalcino displays deep garnet color with full and penetrating aromas of wild berries. The palate is dry, warm full-bodied while harmonious, delicate and austere at the same time, persistent." —winemaker
Wine Anthology review:
The estate Brunello comes from four Montalcino vineyards (Caparzo, La Caduta, Il Cassero, and San Piero-Caselle) that represent all four corners of the appellation, so Caparzo Brunello serves as an excellent overall representation of Montalcino. This 2011 abounds with scents of blackberry and black cherry with hints of tobacco, chocolate, and dried herb, all coming together in gorgeous aromatic complexity. The warmth of the vintage is on full display here as the round texture on the palate transitions into a soft yet concentrated mouthfeel.
