"Very intense cherry red color with tones of purple. Presents in the nose a great concentration of aromas of ripe red fruit with floral nuances. In the mouth it is a well-structured, rich wine that evokes tastes of blackberry, plum and tones of leather and vanilla, with a soft and silky tannin." —winemaker

Wine Anthology review:
This 2014 impresses with its dense richness, with layers upon layers of cassis, raspberry jam, and dried fig notes. A toasty presence comes through in the form of espresso and cocoa powder supported by a touch of sweet vanilla from the wine's 10 months in French oak. All in all, it's a big, full Garnacha that remains balanced in spite of its remarkable concentration.
"Bright violet color. Heady, exotically perfumed bouquet of ripe red and dark berries, incense and candied flowers, with a smoky mineral overtone and a hint of Asian spices. Intense, deeply pitched raspberry liqueur and cherry-cola flavors stain the palate while displaying a distinctly vibrant quality. Blends power, depth and finesse in a way that's uncommon at anywhere near this price point. Closes sweet, supple and very long, with velvety tannins coming in late to add shape and gentle grip. These bush vines date back to the early 1920s and yield less than two tons of fruit per acre. Drinking window: 2018-2023." —Josh Raynolds, Vinous

"A plush texture masks the firm structure of this red, as blackberry and boysenberry flavors mingle with notes of toast, menthol and mineral, backed by well-integrated tannins and juicy acidity. A modern style, with balance and depth. Drink now through 2020. 10,000 cases made." —Thomas Matthews, Wine Spectator

"The outstanding 2014 Tres Picos (Garnacha) is 100% Grenache and comes from some of their oldest Grenache vineyards on the slopes of the Moncayo Mountains. Yields are less than two tons of fruit per acre and this wine was aged in neutral French oak and stainless-steel tanks for ten months prior to bottling. It's a beautiful wine, with plenty of Southern Rhône-like black cherry liqueur, garrigue, pepper, licorice and spice. It is medium to full-bodied, lusty and heady. This is a beauty to drink over the next 2-3 years." —Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate
