"Deep ruby color. Very complex nose with notes of black fruits and slight floral and berry hints. Tobacco leaf and spices follow. In the mouth it is a deep wine with elegance and firm tannins. Long and persistent." —winemaker

Wine Anthology review:
Dory is a tribute to the dory fishing boats used for centuries off the coast of nearby Lisbon, whose waters and sea breezes doubtless inspired winemakers Anselmo Mendes and Diogo Lopes. A blend of – surprisingly enough! – Bordeaux grape varieties with an addition of Touriga Nacional, this 2012 is a gorgeously focused red blend with a depth and complexity that is sure to become even more profound with some time in the cellar. Right now it is abundant with notes of dark cherry, ripe figs, tobacco, and baking spice, with solid tannic structure to give it some serious backbone.
"With winemakers Anselmo Mendes and Diogo Lopes, there is a good pedigree to this wine. It shows in the dark tannins, the rich fruit and the concentrated structure. The wine is rich with great power although that is mitigated by the acidity and fresh aftertaste. The wine is, of course, still young and should be drunk from 2020." —Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast Magazine
