"Its name derives from 'Pul' which means 'marais': marsh. Puligny is on small pockets of water which prevents from building underground cellars. This famous wine from our domain expresses noble and distinguished aromas with notes of citrus, beautiful minerality and toasted scents. The mouth is elegant and tonic with a very long persistence." —winemaker
"Bright, pale yellow. Pure aromas of peach and flowers. In a lighter style but supple, gentle and classically dry, showing attractive floral lift to the stone fruit flavors." —Stephen Tanzer, Vinous

"The 2014 Puligny Montrachet Village has a crisp and slightly herbaceous bouquet, a hint of grass clipping in the background. The palate is well balanced, hints of citrus lemon and white peach with a dab of lemongrass, fanning out gently on the composed, flinty finish. This is a perfectly decent Puligny Villages in the making." —Neal Martin, The Wine Advocate

"Pear, apple and acacia blossom scents precede the wonderfully rich, round and supple flavors that possess a seductive texture before offering fine length on the more refined finish. This isn't especially dense but the natural class of Puligny is very much in evidence." —Allen Meadows, Burghound
