2004 Antiyal is outstanding. It is composed of 50% Carmenere, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Syrah. This purple-colored wine has an expressive nose of scorched earth, plum, and blueberry. Softly textured and forward, it delivers layers of plush flavors with ripe tannin hiding under all the baby fat. It can be enjoyed now but should drink well for another 12-15 years.

Alluring nose of tar, cassis bush and lilac is followed by a rich, muscular palate of dark fruit, loam, mint and fig paste. Lengthy finish pumps out dark fruit and terroir. Carmenère, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Drink now through 2010. 508 cases made. –JM
