The wine is a dark and brilliant ruby color with aromas of pencil shavings and ripe wild strawberries and insinuations of chocolate and mint. It has a soft and velvety palate with marvelous tannins totally blended into an array of ripe red fruit. It is drinking well but can age for another five to eight years.
