Quite forward, gamy nose, with solid, sweet black fruit. The palate has a silky weight, with quite a refined tannin structure. Quite dark, juicy plum and cherry skin fruit. Good quality. (60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 5% each Cabernet franc and Petit Verdot) Good red-ruby. Smoky aromas of currant, black cherry, graphite, mocha and warm stones, lifted by flint and pepper nuances. A smooth, fine-grained mid-weight given lift and shape by pepper and spices. At once supple and bright, finishing with very good aromatic persistence and thrust. Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar-89-91 points
