The beautifully precise 2006 Chateauneuf du Pape offers a gorgeous
concoction of sweet cherry, plum, and currant fruit intermixed with
notions of spring flowers, crushed rocks, and Provencal herbs, sweet
tannin, and a medium to full-bodied, lush, long finish. It will be
drinkable early, but because of its superb equilibrium, it should last
for 12-15 years.
Bright red. Potent raspberry and candied cherry aromas, with vivid mineral and floral qualities adding energy; this has the elegant bouquet of a Burgundy. Silky and sweet, with graceful strawberry and raspberry flavors, medium weight and a long, sappy finish. In the modern school but in no way overblown. 91-93 points Josh Raynolds Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar. Regular Price: $66.99 On Sale For: $49.89 You Save 26%: $17.10 |
