The 2006 blend was sourced predominantly from the same sexy/culty Napa
sources used in the 2004 and 2005 vintages. The 2006 blend is 79%
Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot and 2% Malbec. The composite wine was
aged in about 75% new French oak for 18 months.
The wine reflects the power and richness of the 2006 vintage in
California. It comes across with lots of rich cassis fruit, soft
tannins, and well-integrated oak flavors. Once again, a real
overachiever and amazing value given the pedigree of the component
