'The estate’s 2003 Lupicaia a deep, opaque red, is perhaps slightly more complete than the Castello, showing greater aromatic complexity and a tightly-wound core of ripe fruit, with plush personality, superb length and more structure than its sibling, closing with a lingering note of sweetness on the finish. It also gives the impression of having just a little more acidity as well as freshness than the Castello. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2015'.

'Inky dark red. Sweet, pure aromas of blackberry, licorice and graphite are currently less expressive and more tightly wound than those of the Castello del Terriccio. Dense, highly concentrated and intensely flavored, with harmonious acidity framing the sweet black fruits.
