Maine Beer Company Peeper Ale

Size: 16.9oz

RateBeer: 97

"Our original hoppy American ale. Dry, clean, well-balanced with a generous dose of American hops. My brother and I started homebrewing in a small garage in Portland. We wanted to make some really good beer, so that we could drink it of course. One winter, after many days of brewing, our fingers numb (the garage was not heated), we decided we should begin to share. So we moved to a bigger garage (our new brewery with heat) and here it is. Cheers!" —brewer

Picture of High West Distillery Double Rye Straight Rye Whiskey

High West Distillery Double Rye Straight Rye Whiskey Size: 750ml

19938
"Double Rye — the most excitable member of the High West family — is dedicated to the cowboy in all of us. An unusual shotgun marriage of two rye whiskies from two different distilleries back east, Double Rye combines a feisty high rye 2-year-old and a saddle-smooth 16-year-old. The younger rye has a mashbill with 95% rye / 5% barley malt and the older has a more typical rye mashbill with 53% rye and 37% corn. We think the extra age and increased corn adds just enough caramel sweetness and woody vanilla richness to calm the 'bite' of the younger rye for a relationship that works. The resulting combination is bold, balanced, complex and perfect for mixing — we like a Double Rye Manhattan. With a taste profile of cinnamon, clove, anise, eucalyptus buttons, evergreen 'gin-like' flavors and a vibrant finish, Double Rye is absolutely superb for sipping alone or sharing with other cowboys and good-looking strangers." —producer

Westmalle Trappist Dubbel Ale Size: 25.4oz

25635
"Westmalle Dubbel is a dark, reddish-brown Trappist beer with a secondary fermentation in the bottle. The creamy head has the fragrance of special malt and leaves an attractive lace pattern in the glass. The flavour is rich and complex, herby and fruity with a fresh-bitter finish. It is a balanced quality beer with a soft feel in the mouth and a long, dry aftertaste. The Dubbel contains 7% alcohol. Since 1856 the monks have also been brewing a dark Trappist beer along with their table beer. Since the recipe was modified in 1926, they have been brewing slightly heavier beer. This is the foundation of today's Dubbel." —brewer

"Broglia Gavi La Meirana is a pale straw yellow with green highlights. This wine offers a fine and delicate nose with fruity notes of peach, melon and pink grapefruit, as well as hints of anise and flowers. On the palate, it is very balanced, with a long fruity finish." —winemaker

Corsendonk Pater Dubbel Ale Size: 25.4oz

00590
"Brewed with all-natural ingredients, including Caramel, Pilsen and Munich barley malts, and Saaz, Kent and Hallertau hops. Beer authority Michael Jackson describes Corsendonk Pater Dubbel Ale as 'a strong, Burgundy-colored ale in the style of the classic Trappist brews of Belgium. Has a very distinctive bouquet: yeasty, fruity and slightly smoky. In palate, it has notes of port, raisins and black chocolate. Matures greatly with age, becoming softer, smoother and deeper in palate. Ideally, should be stored for at least a year, and could mature for at least five.'" —importer
