Brooklyn Black Ops

"Brooklyn Black Ops does not exist. However, if it did exist, it would be a strong stout concocted by the Brooklyn brewing team under cover of secrecy and hidden from everyone else at the brewery. The myth is that this supposed 'Black Ops' was then aged for four months in bourbon barrels, bottled flat, and re-fermented with Champagne yeast. Presumably such a beer would raise a rich, fluffy dark brown head and it would combine chocolate and coffee flavors with a rich underpinning of vanilla-like bourbon notes. A beer like that would be mighty nice, but it would be hard to make more than few cases — it could never be sold or released to the public. They say that the brewmaster revealed the beer to a few other people at the brewery only after it had been barreled. This beer is obviously a figment of people's fervent imaginations. Everyone go home now — there's nothing to see here." —brewer

Cascade Blueberry Northwest Sour Ale 2016 Project

"The 2016 Blueberry project is a blend of sour wheat and blond ales that were aged in white wine barrels for up to 12 months with more than 8,000 pounds of fresh blueberries. The 2016 growing season delivered fruit with elegant blueberry aromatics, providing clean fruit expression to this blend, complemented by the dry, cereal grain notes of the beer with hints of lemon, violets, a soft oak presence and lively acidity." —brewer

Duvel Golden Ale

"A Duvel is still seen as the reference among more full-bodied ales. Its bouquet is lively and tickles the nose with an element of citrus which even tends towards grapefruit thanks to the use of only the highest-quality hop varieties. This is also reflected in the flavour, which is beautifully balanced with a hint of spiciness. Thanks to its high CO2 content, this beer has a wonderful roundness in the mouth. A Duvel is both the perfect thirst quencher and the ideal aperitif." —brewer

Evil Twin Harlan's Even More Jesus

"A few times in the history of craft beer it has happened that a highly praised beer rises beyond mortal stardom into a higher godly league. Usually the recipe to make such heavenly drops is thick fudge-like body, pitch black color, amazingly overwhelming aromas of chocolate, coffee, dark fruits and muscovado sugar. We took this beer to the next level and barrel aged it on rare barrels from a cult winery in California." —brewer

Firestone Walker Easy Jack IPA

"Brewmaster Matt Brynildson went to the mountain and returned with a vision for a different kind of Session IPA, one that would be brewed and dry hopped with a globetrotting selection of new hop varieties from Europe, New Zealand and North America. He foresaw a beer that would deliver massive hop aromas, a signature malt balance and an empty glass before you knew what hit you. And so the newest member of our Jack IPA family was born." —brewer
