"The wine is comprised of Mediterranean varietals: Marselan, Caladoc and Carignan with a small amount of Pinotage. The different wines mature in oak casks for a period of 12 months before being blended to produce this original combination. The wine has an intense and complex aroma, which is made up of milk chocolate, strawberry and raspberry with thyme weeds and tobacco. The wine is invigorating, with smooth tannins, a refreshing acidity, a hint of chocolate, leather, coffee, and white pepper. A real Mediterranean wine, that is drinkable now but will only get better after maturation in comfortable conditions." —winemaker
"From the Martinez Vineyard, high on the edge of Pritchard Hill and overlooking the Napa Valley, comes this wine that is near and dear to our hearts. Loaded with dark fruit, plum, cassis and cocoa, intensified by beautiful floral aromas, exotic spice and a finish that seamlessly goes on and on, this wine is powerful and gorgeous, and just like the views from this stellar vineyard, the flavors go on forever." —winemaker
Blend: 75% Cabernet Franc, 12.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12.5% Petit Verdot
"Fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks.Aged for 24 months in French and American oak. The wine aged an additional 24 months in the bottle before release.
Intense red color with tawny hues.Elegant and intense aroma of ripe fruit, prune, undergrowth, all well assembled with spicy, pastry and vanilla scents from the oak barrel.Elegant, mellow, fresh, structured, ripe with velvety tannins."
"A limpid, full ruby red color. The nose is fine, wide, with excellent fruity notes on a sweet and spicy background. A vigorous body with excellent tannins well in balance with the freshness given by the acidulous nerve. Fine, elegant and complex." —winemaker
"Château Guiraud presents intense aromas, hawthorn flowers, fresh fruit, with a minty note which characterizes the vintage. The feeling in the mouth is magnificent, soft, but robust. The tonic feeling of the botrytis is amplified by a great freshness. The palate echoes the aromas: the botrytis now shows them crystalized, of great precision and purity. The aftertaste is long. The sugar power never gives heaviness: it is the magic of natural sugars sublimated by botrytis." —winemaker
"The fine wine from Château l'Evangile is described in an old edition of 'Grand vins de Bordeaux' (Dussault Press) as '...full and elegant wines, with an unmistakable finesse and bouquet.' For many fans, the subtle and elegant quality is indeed the mark of this wine. Dense, intense colour with hints of violet. Powerful, lingering, expressive, very ripe, concentrated nose, with notes of Morello cherries and blackcurrants. The attack is dense and concentrated with very ripe, powerful tannins. The palate is mature, rich and smooth with a silky finish that is highlighted by the very high quality tannins." —winemaker
"This 2013 has to be approached in a spirit of complete innocence. Light in colour, it has a delicate, floral and refined nose, more reminiscent of a great Pinot Noir than of a Pauillac wine. Superbly complex, with an uncommon range of aromas and flavours, it is smooth and lingers very long on the palate. This wine will go far." —winemaker
Blend: Petit Verdot, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc
"The wine bursts from the glass with aromas of blackberry, slate, tar, and violets. Dark fruit flavors, espresso, slate and bitter orange notes build on the palate. These flavors meld with the full mountain tannin so characteristic of this site. The energy and intensity is apparent on the long and layered finish which evolves for over a minute. Enjoy 2018 through 2034 and beyond." —winemaker
"Very classic Xinomavro of Siatista. What makes this wine different from other Xinomavro of Macedonia (Naoussa & Amynteo) is the higher elevation vinyards and the limestone/rocky soils. The cooler climate produces a higher acidity and vibrant fruit in the wine, red berries, minerality, forest, earth and black olive notes. This wine is complex and ages for up to 15 years." —winemaker
"Very intense ruby red. It emphasizes the balsamic character and aromatic herbs like lavender, fennel and rosemary coexisting in harmony with black fruits. Great volume, with a sweet tannin and a balanced acidity that gives structure and character. Nice feeling of fruit and plum bonbon." —winemaker
"Sauzal Vineyard is farmed by winery owner Derek Mossman's close friend Nivaldo Morales. This site sits on Chile's Coastal Range (much older and slower to cool than the Andes), thus sub-soils have cracked granite beneath that allow roots to get deep into cracks and deep rooting is the key to interesting Carignan. Ancestral farming by hand and horse. A portion of the grapes in this cuvee were kept with whole stems and stomped by feet, resulting in firmer tannins. Each year this ends up the winery's most "powerful" Carignan blend." —importer
"This vintage of the Far Coast Vineyard Chardonnay exhibits aromas of orange zest, yellow apple, dried fruits and spice. The flavors lead with tangerine, mandarin orange and quince, followed by a long textural finish of minerals and gravel." —winemaker
