"Bright red to crimson hues. Intense lifted vanilla aromatics balanced with ripe red to dark berry fruits. Full and round on the palate with a distinct sweetness giving a rich and round mouth feel. The vanilla aromatics carry through on the palate and compliment subtle flavors of chocolate and a cedary spice. The palate finishes soft and fruity with a pleasant lingering freshness." —winemaker
"Deep ruby in colour with a purple hue; aromas of black cherry, cassis and pepper; flavours replay on the aromas with an emphasis on black pepper and smoke that linger on the finish; medium acidity and medium-high tannin." —winemaker
"The estate’s flagship wine, the 2005 Guado al Tasso, possesses gorgeous aromatics and a core of vibrant, dark fruit framed by finessed tannins. Medium to full-bodied, it shows superb balance, particularly in the use of French oak, something that I haven’t always been able to say in the past. With air, attractive notes of wild herbs, smoke, minerals and sweet toasted oak develop to complete this very pretty Guado al Tasso. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2019." -Antonio Galloni
"Black purple, dark and broody. Wet earth, violets, burnt anise, wild blackberries and black Indian ink make this wine a beautifully complex head turner to ponder over or enjoy without thoughts but with friends." —winemaker
"At Barefoot, we love winter! It's the time of year we wear ugly sweaters and share great wine with family and friends. Our limited edition Winter Blend, full of robust flavors of vanilla and blackberry jam, pairs perfectly with gingerbread cookies and a cozy fire!" —winemaker
"The wine is comprised of Mediterranean varietals: Marselan, Caladoc and Carignan with a small amount of Pinotage. The different wines mature in oak casks for a period of 12 months before being blended to produce this original combination. The wine has an intense and complex aroma, which is made up of milk chocolate, strawberry and raspberry with thyme weeds and tobacco. The wine is invigorating, with smooth tannins, a refreshing acidity, a hint of chocolate, leather, coffee, and white pepper. A real Mediterranean wine, that is drinkable now but will only get better after maturation in comfortable conditions." —winemaker
"From the Martinez Vineyard, high on the edge of Pritchard Hill and overlooking the Napa Valley, comes this wine that is near and dear to our hearts. Loaded with dark fruit, plum, cassis and cocoa, intensified by beautiful floral aromas, exotic spice and a finish that seamlessly goes on and on, this wine is powerful and gorgeous, and just like the views from this stellar vineyard, the flavors go on forever." —winemaker

"Dark purple with youthful hues on release, the nose is a compelling mix of dark stone fruits, coffee and blackberries. The 2010 is supremely focused yet rich and rewarding on the palate. The flavours are intense yet restrained, showing brooding dark fruit characters, with cracked pepper hints, some minerality and great complexity. The astounding purity of expression and multilayered structure will allow this wine to mature with elegance for decades to come." —winemaker
"The 2007 Clio is made up of 67% old vine Monastrell sourced from avineyard planted in 1944 and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon from a vineyardplanted in 1979. The alcoholic fermentation is in oak followed by ML innew barrels and aging for 26 months in new French and American oak. Aglass-coating opaque purple color, it displays an in-your-face bouquetof wood smoke, underbrush, incense, blueberry, and black currant.Dense, chewy, packed and stacked, the fruit quality is superb, thebalance impeccable, and the finish lasts for nearly a minute. It willbe controversial with those who prefer low alcohol and finesse in theirwines. Those who like unrestrained power and richness will adore itquite aside from the fact that it over-delivers for its relativelymodest price. Drink it from 2011 to 2022."
