"Chono Red Blend is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Tempranillo originated on the Cauquenes Valley, nowadays one of the most attractive wine countries in Chile. Chono Red Blend presents an intense red color and exotic elegance. In nose we find sweet aromas like moka and cocoa, and a hint of blueberries and plums. In mouth is thick, with a great volume and good balance." —winemaker
"Sauzal Vineyard is farmed by winery owner Derek Mossman's close friend Nivaldo Morales. This site sits on Chile's Coastal Range (much older and slower to cool than the Andes), thus sub-soils have cracked granite beneath that allow roots to get deep into cracks and deep rooting is the key to interesting Carignan. Ancestral farming by hand and horse. A portion of the grapes in this cuvee were kept with whole stems and stomped by feet, resulting in firmer tannins. Each year this ends up the winery's most "powerful" Carignan blend." —importer
"Dating back to the 8th century, the Three Wise Monkey proverb 'See No Evil, Hear No Evil, Speak No Evil' was introduced to Japan by a Buddhist monk from China. A Buddhist maxim of wisdom recognizes that these wines are all made from grapes that belong to the Pinot family, and that it is really hard to make an affordable Pinot. Well, Pinot shouldn't have to be wicked to your wallet, which is why we set out to find really good Pinot that everyone could afford. Pinot Evil…a guilty pleasure!
"Rich fruit forward style Pinot Noir. Hint of dark berries, chocolate and black cherries. Medium bodied style of Pinot Noir with full round tannin finish." —winemaker
