A to Z Wineworks Riesling 2017

"The 2017 A to Z Riesling speaks to the quality of the vintage and the complexity gained from sourcing all around the great state of Oregon. This wine is lively, full of personality and attitude. There are compelling aromas & flavors of lime cordial, elderflower, honeysuckle, starfruit & kiwifruit, quince paste, kumquat, preserved lemons, candied ginger & white gumdrops. Similarly, floral notes of gardenia & jasmine overfloweth from the glass. The color is a pale gold with a hint of expensive green. This wine ticks all the boxes of juicy acidity, great intensity and lovely texture." -Winemaker

Red Newt Cellars Circle Riesling 2017

"Circle Riesling is meant to be a quintessential example of Finger Lakes Riesling; a touch of residual sugar to bring out the rich orchard fruit flavors without overwhelming the lemon zest and citrus that make it crisp and refreshing to drink. The overall wine is easy to drink, but made with as much seriousness and as many individual layers as any Riesling that Red Newt releases." —winemaker

Zilliken Saarburger Rausch Diabas Riesling 2016

"The unique dark basalt rock (Diabas) that gives the wine its name delivers a deep, smoky lemon minerality skulking in narrow alleys and seeping into dark doorways like the villain in a Victorian mystery novel. Enter our heroine, the residual sweetness, to bring light back to our story and draw out the weightless purity and floral lace that the 2016 vintage has come to embody. Steely citrus and green apple aromas shine a blinding spotlight into the mineral mist while savory spice and a racy, low-cut acidity delivers straight-out sex appeal. A fine grapefruit cliffhanger finish -- the only thing to do now is relish the last sip and eagerly await next year’s sequel. A sweeter counterpoint to the dry flagship GG." - winemaker
