"The 2011 Costieres de Nimes Lou Coucardie is composed of 60% Mourvedre, 30% Grenache and 10% Syrah. It reveals the meatiness of ripe Mourvedre blended with the voluptuousness of Grenache, and the color and structure from Syrah. One of the finest wines I have ever tasted from the Costieres de Nimes, it exhibits a dense purple color along with notes of incense, camphor, vanillin, blueberries and blackberries intermixed with hints of truffles and asphalt.
