"Glittering purple in color, the wine displays intense characters of ripe blueberry, fresh raspberry and black cherry, accompanied by aromas of butter, nutmeg and toasted oak. A well-balanced wine rich in flavor, with a silky texture, full body, and a smooth, long and velvety finish." —winemaker

Blend: 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 9% Petit Verdot, 7% Syrah
"The 2012 Yiron is a blend of 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 9% Petit Verdot and 7% Syrah, aged in new French oak for 16 months. It comes in at 15.5% alcohol, which it mostly handles well. It has average concentration–than the ELA and reasonable for its level–without being thick and clumsy. Tight on the finish, a bit astringent, it has good focus and structure, too. This is rather appealing and it should be available at a good price point on the street." —Mark Squires, The Wine Advocate

"A polished, full-bodied red, this is rich with spice, plum compote, kirsch and licorice flavors, lined with a cedar accent. With abundant tannin, this has dried herb and smoky notes on the finish. Kosher. Drink now through 2017. 5,000 cases made." —Gillian Sciaretta, Wine Spectator
