"Long before hops were common in most beers, various fruits and vegetables were used to season beers. The acidity of Lambic beers blends perfectly with raspberries. Magnificent aroma, delicate palate of raspberries with undertones of fruity acidity; elegant, sparkling clean natural taste. Serve with chocolate desserts (especially chocolate decadence), fresh raspberries, ice cream with a raspberry demi-glaze sauce, crème caramel, baked Alaska, Olympia oysters, and caviar. Serve in flute-shaped Lambic glasses at 36 °F." —brewer
"Opaque garnet violet color with a rosy rim of froth. Rich pure raspberry aromas and flavors with a tangy, fruity full body and a long mouthwatering citrus accented finish. A sensationally vibrant and pure fruit beer that is sure to please. Begs another sip." —Beverage Testing Institute

"This widely adored, classic lambic remains one of the best. It's remarkably easy to drink, with intense aromas and flavors of wild raspberries and berry preserves lifted by a refreshing sour note that balances the sweetness. There is vibrancy to the palate, with framing acidity and a mouthwatering finish. This is a perfect summer sipper thanks to its low alcohol and refreshing nature, and it makes for a great dessert, alone or in an ice cream float." —Lauren Buzzeo, Wine Enthusiast Magazine

"Appearance: Deep rose in colour with a pinkish lace which stays for the duration.

"Smell: Delicate and elegant...lots of juicy raspberries in the nose. Syrupy and tart at the same time.

"Taste: Crisp with a champagne-like smoothness that cradles a effervescent body. Fresh raspberry juice like a Jolly-rancher or sweet tart...very fruity with very vague beer-like characteristics. Undertones of barnyard, horse blanket and apple peel flavours get masked much by the acidity. Finishes quite clean...little in the aftertaste.

"Notes: Very aromatic with lots of sweet tart fruit, both in the nose and on the palate. Addictively good if you like syurpy fruit flavours...a beer I would have at a morning brunch." —Jason Alström, BeerAdvocate
