"The 2012 Insignia has an inky dark hue and aromas of ripe blackberries, star anise, cigarbox, clove and sweet mocha notes. Richly opulent with velvety texture and supple tannins, this full-bodied offering envelops the palate in luscious, lingering black plum and violets along with layers of baking spices." —winemaker

Wine Anthology review:
The 2012 Insignia is built like a linebacker, with a core of muscular blackberry suffused with thick smoke, fresh-brewed espresso, and rich oak. Still very young, this wine goes for the gusto right now with a spread of lush tannin on the finish, giving clear indication that this is destined for the cellar before its full beauty has bloomed. Simply put, this is a treasure chest whose contents grow richer with age.
