Chappellet Vineyard Pritchard Hill

"Chappellet’s Pritchard Hill Estate Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is the ultimate expression of the dedication and expertise of our winegrowing team. Like the great Bordeaux wines that first inspired Donn Chappellet, this wine is crafted in the traditional manner by blending Cabernet Sauvignon with other classic Bordeaux varietals. The wine ages 18 months in 100% new French oak and six months in bottle prior to release. Grown exclusively on our rocky, mountainside vineyards, Chappellet’s Cabernets have proven their ability to cellar age for several decades." -Winery

"Deep and complex notes of blackberry preserves and dark cherry layer with an abundance of sweet oak and spice. Elements of licorice, cedar and smoke mingle with the fruit, creating a synergy of enticing aromas. Concentrated flavors of sun-soaked red and black fruit, cola and roasted coffee envelop the palate and flow through the finish. This is a wine of monumental size and concentration worthy of patient cellaring." -Winemaker's Notes

Dom Ruinart Blanc de Blancs 2004

"The color of Dom Ruinart 2004 is a luminous yellow with pale green reflections. At first the nose reveals the sweet, gentle notes of chestnut, coconut and fresh bread. This biscuity side to the wine very quickly gives way to the aromas of flowers (iris, lily-of-the valley and the flowers of Seville orange trees) and citrus fruits (bergamot and citron). Just beneath the surface several mineral (wet rock and flint) and iodized saline notes make an appearance." —winemaker

Krug Champagne Brut 2004

"At first sight, the beautiful light golden color promises radiant freshness. The nose begins with an expressive bouquet of ginger, candied citrus and quince, followed by richer notes evoking lemon meringue tart, plum and mirabelle. On the palate, a very balanced Champagne with light notes of brioche and honey giving way to an array of fresh citrus, including oranges, lemons and mandarins, enhanced by a very elegant finish." —winemaker
