"Having begun our venture in the Blaye region with Chateau Puynard in 2016, just five years on we received the keys to Chateau Magdeleine Bouhou In January 2021. Having admired the terroir here for some time, we set our sights on broadening our offering by adding another Blaye vineyard, but which offered a slightly different terroir and aspect to that of Puynard. Both vineyards have their own character, and we feel with both properties together, we have a strong offering that showcases the Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux appellation very well." —winemaker

Wine Anthology Team Review- A right bank Bordeaux that delivers with delicious flavor and exquisite, smooth drinkability. Perfect for a "daily drinker" this bottle has just entered it's "sweet spot" going past 5 years in the bottle. Pop it open, give it a little time, and enjoy one of our finest under $15 bottles. Cheers!

"Attractive violets and roses with a wealth of plush berry fruit. The palate has a riper edge with good penetration of rich darker berries and plums. Try from 2022." —James Suckling

"While this wine has plenty of tannins, solid, dark fruits shine through the structure. Consultant Stéphane Derenoncourt has created a powerful wine, with juicy black-currant fruits and a ripe, solid aftertaste. Drink from 2022." —Wine Enthusiast

Wine Anthology Team Review-I have always told my customers that the best "dollar for quality" ratio can usually be found in Portugal and this particular bottle exemplifies this perfectly. From the region of Alentejano, these grapes were stored and vinified at low temperatures in order to preserve all the intense aromas and flavors found here. An absolute steal for this money. A must try!!
