"This Ammunition Cabernet Sauvignon is born of grapes from several of Sonoma County’s family-owned vineyards. The 2020 Ammunition Cabernet Sauvignon is a perfect representation of the quality for which we’ve become known. With varietals like Petite Verdot and Cabernet Franc making up 10% of this wine, we’ve stuck the uncommon balance of boldness, richness and elegance that makes it an Ammunition wine. The backbone of this Cabernet Sauvignon was traditionally fermented then matured in 50% new French Oak. Additionally, we peeled off 5% of the Cabernet, barrel-fermenting it separately. This was able to give the final Ammunition Cabernet Sauvignon blend a remarkably round and silky finish, achieving true tannin nirvana." —winemaker
