This classic, well-rounded, plum-scented Italian red is made from Montepulciano grapes grown in the Abruzzo region, on Italy’s Adriatic coast. It is quite distinct from Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, which is a Sangiovese-based wine from Tuscany." —winemaker

"Intense ruby color. Fruity odor composed mainly of fresh red berries, woodland fruits, jam, spices and a slight hint of roasted flavors. It has a fruity, soft, elegant and harmonious flavor. Quinta de Cabriz is located between the two main rivers that cross the Dao region, the Mondego and the Dao. It is a secular "quinta" (farm) so along with a 17th century manor house there is also a chapel." —winemaker

"Pale yellow color. Medium aromatic intensity on the nose with aromas of spring flowers intertwined with pome fruit, pineapple and banana. A smooth and lively entry on the palate. The mid-palate is marked by the typical acidity of the wine. A fruity and long aftertaste, perfectly balanced, making it an elegant, fine and at the same time cheerful wine." —winemaker

"A custom cuvée for European Cellars and a joint project between Eric Solomon and Jean-Marc Lafage, Bastide Miraflors is a cuvée created from old vine Grenache grown on the schist and granite soils of Saint-Paul de Fenouillet, a terroir that always ripens late in the year, and Syrah from gravelly soils near the Mediterranean. After a long maceration of six weeks, the wine ages for 12 months in roughly 3/4 concrete vats and 1/4 600L French oak demi-muids." —winemaker
