Asbach

Asbach Uralt has been a defining name in German brandy since 1892, when Hugo Asbach established the company in Rüdesheim am Rhein. Drawing on expertise gained in both Germany and France, Asbach introduced a domestic "Rüdesheim Cognac" that quickly gained recognition. In response to post-World War I regulations, he pioneered the term "Weinbrand," securing its place in German wine law. Over the decades, Asbach Uralt has expanded its reach, from brandy-filled chocolates to its role in regional specialties like Rüdesheimer Kaffee and the Berlin favorite, Futschi.
