Brotherhood

Brotherhood Winery, established in 1839 by John Jaques in Washingtonville, NY, began as a small vineyard before evolving into a renowned winemaking operation known for its purity and craftsmanship. Over the decades, ownership passed through multiple hands, each contributing to its growth—from the Emersons’ expansion into champagnes to the Farrells’ transformation of the winery into a major tourist destination. A devastating fire in 1999 threatened its legacy, but subsequent restoration efforts, along with new partnerships, revitalized Brotherhood into a leader in New York’s wine industry. Today, with a balance of heritage and innovation, the winery continues to produce premium wines while preserving its historic roots.
