Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey began with an unexpected spark—when volunteer firefighter Jess Graber responded to a barn fire in 1998, he met brewery owner and whiskey connoisseur George Stranahan. Their shared love of the Colorado outdoors and fine whiskey led to the creation of the state’s first legal whiskey distillery since Prohibition. Crafted in Denver from just four ingredients—100% malted barley, yeast, Rocky Mountain water, and time—Stranahan’s set the standard for American Single Malt. Since releasing its first bottle in 2006, the brand remains dedicated to producing a whiskey that reflects the rugged spirit and natural beauty of its home state.
