For over two centuries, Vecchia Romagna has refined the art of Italian brandy, tracing its origins to the Buton family’s distilling mastery in 18th-century France. In 1820, Jean Buton brought his family’s closely guarded recipes to Italy, establishing the country’s first steam distillery and laying the foundation for a brand that would become globally recognized. The introduction of the Bacchus emblem and the distinctive triangular bottle in 1939 cemented its identity, while resilience through war and innovation in production ensured its enduring legacy. Now part of Gruppo Montenegro, Vecchia Romagna continues to balance tradition and creativity, producing brandies that reflect centuries of expertise.
