"Averna is an excellent liqueur with full body and smooth taste, extremely pleasant for every moment of the day. You can drink it or taste it straight, with ice or frozen. It is produced using an ancient recipe made of herbs, which has been passed down from one generation to another since 1868. Each of the most delicate phases of the production of the bitter, all of which take place in the herbalist's laboratory, are stringently checked in order to guarantee the authenticity of the ingredients and the high quality of the product. This is why Averna is one of the most famous bitters appreciated worldwide." —producer

"Chestnut black color. Rich aromas of herbal roots, turmeric, wintermint, and burnt sugar follow through on a round, supple entry to mildly sweet and lightly bitter full body with a great balanced of bitter herbs, roots, honey, and Indian spices. Finishes with long, unsweetened chocolate and espresso bean-like fade. Delicious and a great digestif or cocktail ingredient." —Beverage Testing Institute

"Complex and appealingly herbal, this spirit is marked by its coffee-brown color and a scent like spearmint-spiked espresso. The flavor is sweet, faintly coffee-like, with warm Dutch licorice, anise and sarsaparilla notes. The brisk finish is minty then bitter. Heavy, syrupy feel." —Kara Newman, Wine Enthusiast Magazine

Ramazzotti Amaro Liqueur

"First created in Milan in 1815, Ramazzotti still sticks to its recipe secret. Thirty-three carefully selected herbs give Amaro Ramazzotti its particular flavour, balanced by a distinctive aftertaste of orange peel aroma as well as cardamom, myrrh, galangal, cinnamon and....well, we've give away enough already! The bottle in unmistakeable, essentially maintaining the blue, red and white design that Ausano himself (the inventor of the liqueur) first cam up with in 1815." -producer

Montenegro Amaro Liqueur

"Displays early botanical scents of orange peel, fresh (not dried) coriander, red cherry, pekoe tea, and cucumber. Palate entry is sweet at first then it quickly turns mildly bitter and botanical; by midpalate, there's a slight sweetness of tangerine/mandarin peel. Aftertaste is moderately bittersweet and citrusy." —producer

Campari

"Campari is an alcoholic aperitif obtained from the infusion of bitter herbs, aromatic plants and fruit in alcohol and water. Campari is a type of bitters which was invented by Gaspare Campari between 1862 and 1867. Today the product is still composed of the same original ingredients, thanks to a formula which has remained a secret for almost 150 years." —producer
